The 6th meeting of the Singapore-Shanghai Comprehensive Cooperation Council was held in Shanghai yesterday (15th), during which 18 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed in areas such as the joint implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), financial cooperation, technology innovation, digital economy, urban governance and cultural exchange. 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng said. He hoped that both countries will deeply align their development strategies, meticulously create cooperation highlights, and promote more effective cooperation between Shanghai and Singapore, thereby elevating the comprehensive high-quality forward-looking partnership between China and Singapore to a new level.
