US President Donald Trump confirmed that the US has entered a trade war with China, according to foreign media reports. He plans to slap a 100% tariff on Chinese goods should no trade agreements be reached. Hours before Trump's remarks, however, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent proposed extending the suspension of high tariffs on Chinese goods to resolve the critical mineral conflict.
