Enhanced security measures regarding data access management have been announced on the website of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of the Director, according to reports from several Chinese media outlets. Starting last Friday (4th), institutions from China, Russia, Iran, and other countries of concern are banned from accessing NIH's controlled access data repositories and related data, which, as indicated by the reports, include key data platforms such as dbGaP and AnVIL.
