Tesla (TSLA.US) Sells 657K Cars in CN Last Yr, Up 8.8% YoY

American electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Tesla (TSLA.US)'s Tesla China announced that the company sold over 657,000 EVs in China last year, marking a YoY 8.8% rise. Last month's sales rose 12.8% YoY to 83,000 vehicles, notching a new monthly record. The Chinese market accounted for 36.7% of the company's total EV sales last year, making it the company's second-largest market. Tesla's EV sales last year dipped 1.1% YoY to 1.79 million vehicles, slightly higher than BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)'s 1.76 million vehicles. BYD COMPANY's EV sales leaped 12.1% YoY.
